Yesterday there was a free concert of Nouvelle Vague in the Lisbon Casino in Oriente, Of course i wouldn't wanna miss this French musical collective for the world! It was nice, but not great. The two beautiful girls were guided by an accoustic guitar and a piano and this combination gave an overall relax vibe to the performance, and missed the real bossanova feeling you do find on their amazing albums. In a short set they played all of their most mesmerising reinterpretations (all the songs are covers of new wave and punk music), 'this is not a lovesong', 'guns of brixton', 'dancing with myself', 'to drunk to fuck', ' can't get enough' and many more.
Afterwards we spend some money in the slotmachines of Lisbon's extravagant casino, and it was a great fun. Plus I didn't lose a dime cause all the money we spend, we recovered again while playing, so it really was a no-losing situation (besides a few beers of course).
